Granny Squares Anyone?

Do you remember your crochet afghan's of colored granny square in your grandmother's house?  I do. 

Do you remember how peaceful and orderly your grandparents life use to be... so much less hustle and bustle, so much less rush rush then we seem to have now.  That old radio, with slow music, that old porch with fresh garden harvest being processed to be canned, that old comfortable laid back lifestyle is so much a dream anymore.  At least for me.  I find myself yearning for the old days.  I miss sitting under the shade tree's in the heat of the summer eating watermelon, and talking with the grandparents.  I miss seeing my grandmother sitting in her favorite chair crocheting, or tatting, or hand stitching something for the home.

Well, if you love granny squares, love quilting, crocheting, or cross stitching (or like me - all three). I hope you will join in on one, two or all three of These stitch alongs.  I know time is hard to come by at times, but no one is rushing you... take all the time you need... relax like grandma use to do and take in that peace "For You"... You deserve some time to be the maker that you are.
