A bit of Progress

I finally have a little progress on two projects to share this week.
First I got my Summer Soiree Block One done.  Ill be working on block 2 and three today and will share them next time I post. (click to enlarge).

The one on the left is with the lights on, and the one on the right is with lights off to show how it glows in the dark. It wasn't fully charged, but you can kind of see some glow, especially on the center mushroom.  I am thinking I might want to put my blocks on point instead of the original layout but we'll see once i get to that point in time.
Then I worked on my red/wh/blue checkerboard scap quilt.  I Love working on this quilt for some reason.. Could be it's because of all the pcs and I am a puzzle nut and love putting all the little pcs. together.
But here is the first row.
After I had the first row almost done I noticed that some of the top red/blue pcs looked like little flags.  (due to the prints), so after contemplating it for awhile I decided that if I didn't rip out the top row and make them all look like flags then it would drive me crazy with regret from here after... so I ripped out the top row and replaced all the red/blu pcs. so that I now have three flags blowing one direction from center on one side and three flags blowing the opp. direction from the other side of center.  I'm at peace now with continuing on with my second row... but I fI see little flags emerging down the sides I think I'll make sure they all cont. BEFORE I sew the pcs. together this time. LOL

I wanted to make note, that I used my accuquilt cutter to cut my red/wh/blue strips for this project.  I'm In LOVE with the Accuquilt strip cutter.  Six layers all at once is to good and the cut is so accurate.  I then did a lot of blocks by just sewing the strips together and cross cutting the 2.5" squares (example would be sewing a red strip to a white strip).  And Accuquilt has introduced some new products the past few weeks, like the cubes dies, which I can't wait to get my hands on a couple.  They are also having some fun upcoming events where you can win fun prizes... so
