UFO's for 2020

I was talking with some old friends on FB and started looking for photo's of some quilts I knew I had but that I still needed to finish.  With moving several times and everything being stored for so long I was amazed at how many I had started that were not finished yet.  Here are a few of my unfinished objects (UFO's) that I hope to finish this year.

"RRCB"  my first mystery quilt and I believe it was Bonnie Hunter's of Quiltville's... first mystery Quilt A Long (QAL) given as well.  So that shows how old this one is.
It was so fun that I had hoped to do one every year, but like I said, between remodeling homes, moving, and my sewing supplies and equipment being in storage on and off so many years it just didn't go as planned.

Oh I want to mention that all Bonnie Hunter's quilts are designed to be made from scraps.  So if you have lots of scraps you can't throw away, this is a great QAL to participate in, putting them to good use and clearing space for the next year's worth of quilting.  Plus she gives great tips as we go through each clue as well.

Next I have another Mystery Quilt from Bonnie Hunter (Quiltville), called "Orca Bay".  Don't you just love how these blues and greens go together.
Being I'm over on the Washington Coast now, I am even more eager to get this one finished and quilted.

This next one is a log cabin quilt.  I had been playing around with various layouts of the blocks and pretty much decided on this one before putting it away.
What to name it?  Any idea's?

My big star quilt... pretty much the first quilt I ever made other then a small baby quilt I think. IT isn't done either.  Oh My.  But it's close.  I believe it just needs to be quilted and then the binding and label added.

This is Hearts Desire.  It's all hand applique.  I followed along on one of Esther Aliu's BOM (block of month) online projects.  I can't remember if this was the first one I did of her's or not, but I know I have at least two more in progress right now, no... three....  I found my quilt passion in doing hand applique.
This one has a lot of border work still. It is a true heirloom and I hope someone in my family will love it as much as i have in making it.

This last one is called "Peacefull Pathways" and it is also a quilt designed by Esther Aliu as one of her yearly BOM.
This one is going to a family member of mine and is my priority unfinished project to finish this year.  I still a lot of border work, as well as some machine embroidery to do on this one.  I better schedule it into my quilting schedule starting this coming week, as my goal is to have it finished before July 1st.

Well, that is a lot to hope for in one year, and if I am even going to get half of them done I better get off this blog and finish my morning chores  so I can get busy putting together "frolic" -- Bonnie Hunters 2019/2020 Mystery QAL.  So bye for now.

Rhonda
